You may have noticed that the 'forward to friend' function has been removed from articles and news. This is part of an improvement that we are making to Gooruze to limit the reach of spammers within the community.

The upgrade should be completed by early next week and the 'forward to a friend' functionality will be replaced back on the site at the same time.

Gooruze is moving house today and will be offline between 2pm and 3pm Western Australian Summer Time. We apologise for the inconvenience.

We have also made a couple other minor improvements today that you may or may not have noticed...

1. When someone comments on a news item, it now appears in the activity list.
2. When someone messages you through Gooruze an email alert is sent to you (note: you can turn this default off if you wish).

We now have RSS feeds for latest activity and latest articles.
You can now add them to your feed reader or create widgets with them from Grazr.

We just rolled out an update to the Gooruze member ranking algorithm.
Some members have seen a massive increase to their Gooruze rank, and rightly so!
Others have slipped slightly.

I just previewed the latest Gooruze Member Rank algorithm, and it looks a lot better.
It will go live early next week.

Currently Gooruze traffic by country looks like as follows...

1. United States = 55%
   
2. Australia = 13%
   
3. UK = 6%
   
4. Canada = 5%
   
5. Rest of the World (France, New Zealand, India...) 21%
   

Talk about an innovative user base!
Approx 80% of the users of Gooruze are using Mozilla Firefox!

You may have noticed that we have changed the Gooruze homepage layout. We now have an area dedicated for "latest articles".

You may have also noticed that the pop up speech bubbles no longer cover the link you are trying to click!
